Connect iCloud or any IMAP inbox

iCloud and other IMAP providers (Yahoo, ProtonMail Bridge, Fastmail, custom domains) connect with an app password.

iCloud

1. At appleid.apple.com, go to Sign-In and Security > App-Specific Passwords and create one named "Chesly".
2. In Chesly: Settings > Email Accounts > Add Email Account > iCloud Mail.
3. Enter your @icloud.com address and paste the password.

Other IMAP

Pick Other Email in the add-account screen. You'll need:

• Email address and password (or app password if your provider requires one).
• IMAP server and port (993).
• SMTP server and port (587).

Search your provider's help docs for "IMAP settings" if you don't know the servers.

Quick references:

• Yahoo: generate an app password under Account Security.
• ProtonMail: run Proton Mail Bridge; connect to 127.0.0.1.
• Fastmail: app password under Settings > Privacy & Security > Integrations.

Disconnect

Settings > Email Accounts > tap the address > Disconnect. Revoke the app password on the provider side too.
